I have been fishing the Tampa Bay area for over 30 years and I have been a US Coast Guard licensed fishing guide since 2012. I offer inshore and nearshore fishing charters from St. Petersburg to Clearwater.
Fishing has always been my favorite pastime. Before guiding, I spent my time fishing throughout the state of Florida for numerous saltwater species, and flyfishing for trophy trout in the North Georgia mountains, North Carolina and Tennessee, and for Lake Erie steelhead and salmon in New York and Pennsylvania. Over the years, I dabbled in professional and local fishing tournaments and have had several notable finishes in both venues. I have been fortunate to be featured in FLW Outdoor Magazine on fishing for “Cool Water Reds” written by Terri Tomalin, and the outdoor television show “Friends in Wild Places”, inshore fishing for redfish, snook, and shallow water grouper. I have also authored fishing reports for the Online Fisherman.
Over the years, I have gained a great deal insight into fishing, catching fish, and the sport of fishing. However, from my perspective, there is still so much more to learn. My goals while on the water are safety, teaching people what I have learned to help them catch fish, learning something new, and sharing the great outdoors to create a memory that lasts a lifetime.
